Site Overview

Site-39-1 was established due to the emerging threat of GRU-P and its much greater capacity to contain anomalous entities/phenomena. The Foundation was forced to establish a surveillance facility to monitor them, however only nearby instead of directly on Soviet Russian territory due to political tensions. Surveillance and intelligence personnel in 39-1 soon identified a Soviet blacksite, which was then reported to 39-2.

MTF unit Xi-13 “Sequere Nos” and Gamma-5 “Red Herrings” in tandem with Site-39-2 planned and conducted a raid on the Soviet blacksite, with transportation from Sigma-9 “Valkyries”. Xi-13 personnel report the blacksite containing an anomalous crystal, now classified as SCP-409, and a ████████████████, which was stated to be powering the blacksite. Many other anomalous items/phenomena were also captured, while others were destroyed or neutralized. All items were sent to 39-1, which were then assessed and transported to Site-39-2 for containment.

Intelligence personnel have identified recent Church of the Broken God activity in America. Intelligence believes that they were informed of the presence of a ███████████████ from the raid and are moving towards Alaska in order to seize the item for themselves. Joint Site-39 command agreed on “marketing” Site-39-1 to the Church discreetly, leaking documents on Site-39-1 which were incorrect or outdated. New personnel are transported to Site-39-1 in order to keep up this illusion.

Site Overview

Site-39-2 was established following a raid on a Soviet blacksite. Due to the presence of a ███████████████, Doctor Thompson pushed for the establishment of a sister site to 39-1 in order to properly contain and research anomalous items and entities, especially the newly acquired SCP-409. Foundation Command authorized the establishment of Site-39-2, with facilities focused on long-term containment of SCP objects/phenomena.

Since the facility contains the ████████████████, relevant site planners in tandem with Foundation Command developed the site around mechanical and biological SCPs. Anomalous personnels’ (AP) abilities mostly inhabit the traits thereof, however certain APs’ abilities may be irrelevant to mechanics or biology.

In 1986, Church of the Broken God outposts were identified within the area. According to intelligence reports, they were attempting to eliminate hostile Sarkics in the area and recover any pieces of Mekhane. Later in 1987, they were driven away due to Sarkic forces overpowering them in combat. However in 1989, Church of the Broken God forces were back in the area and later suppressed Sarkic cultists completely. Again in 1991, Sarkics were located in the area. With the constant events happening, Site Task Force Ares-8 was created in 1992 in order to monitor the two groups.

Site-39-2 is home to Site Task Force Ares-8 “Headfirst”, responsible for handling any Church of the Broken God or Sarkic Cult related incidents. Although mainly directing their focus and duties within the site, STF Ares-8 may be deployed some distance outside of the site as SCP reconnaissance and capture.
